There are plenty of good reasons for upgrading from older HC versions to new HC9. We recommend you to upgrade to HC9 today to diversify your web hosting servers in cluster environment. HC9 Upgrade Policy for HC8 Customers
Licenses With Valid SSUP: All HC8 customers who
have valid “Standard Support & Upgrade Protection”
against their license keys can upgrade to HC9 for free. Same HC8
license will work with HC9 as replacement license key is not required.
Licenses with Expired SSUP: If SSUP against your HC8 license keys is no longer valid then contact HC Sales for renewal. Once you get to renew SSUP, you will be able to upgrade to HC9.
Rental Customers: Rental licenses are entitled to free "Standard Support & Upgrade Protection" as long as their account and monthly rental agreement is active and in good standing. If you are rental HC8 customer, you may upgrade to HC9 for free and continue to use same license key.
